The Westside Youth Athletic Association (WSYAA) will be holding it's First Annual Diamond Days Spring Carnival on May 3, 2008.  This event will feature numerous fun events for kids and adults and the event will host the 2008 Whitfield County Home Run Derby Championship.  WSYAA also will be preselling Choo Choo BBQ plates for pick-up at the Carnival.  A limited number of plates will be available at the Carnival for non-presold customers.

The Carnival also will feature numerous booths and fun activities for kids including a speed pitch radar gun offered by the Whitfield County Sheriffs Department, a football and baseball pitch accuracy game, field goal kick contest and various carnival games.

There is no general admission to the Carnival and Youth can purchase tickets with any number of punches they choose.  Each ticket will have 10 punches ($10), but if a Youth purchases a $5 card, 5 punches will be punched. An $8 ticket would have 2 punches removed, etc., so there will be plenty of flexibility for all families. Tickets will be available at various locations throughout the Carnival which will be located on the Westside Middle School football field.  Each Carnival Exhibit will punch these tickets in payment for the activity. 

While most activities may be priced $1, some activities may include special added gifts and may cost more.  For example, Inga's Beauty Salon, Make-up, and Tattoo Parlor will offer suitcase hair kits which contain hair-dressing accessories in a carrying case.  While a nice "bug" tattoo or green face paint or blue hair can be had for $1, a hair kit may cost a whopping $2 (while limited supplies last).  Two-tone Neon hair extensions may cost $2, as well, but being fashion conscious and looking good has it's high costs.
